Meet Gregg Becker BSc., MBA, ICD.D. Mentor, transformer, and steady hand at the helm.

For the last thirty years, Gregg has been leading companies, large and small, experiencing first hand the very best business practices and most common pitfalls of the businesses he was called in to lead.

His specialty is turning around under-performing companies, as the captain heading up the company.  As the President of Predictable Futures, Gregg pours his wisdom and passion for strategy and execution into transitioning and improving businesses, taking them to the next level.

Gregg’s time with larger corporations included positions at TELUS and BC Hydro.

Over the past 15 years, he has focused primarily on small to medium private and family companies including Jayman Corporation, Overhead Door and Trader Corporation – organizations ranging from $10M-$500m in annual revenues, spanning sectors including manufacturing, broadcasting, professional services, construction, telecommunications, and health-care.

In addition to successes as a consultant, Gregg has also held a variety of executive leadership roles, merging creativity and acumen with strategy and execution.  The results have led to companies achieving increased market share, smoother operations, vastly better results, and improved profitability: Success based on leading teams that move organizations ahead quickly in the marketplace.

Gregg’s background includes mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures for companies in transition. In the past 10 years, he has also worked extensively in the area of boards and organizational governance. He is a certified member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) in Canada, and currently sits on several boards (for and non-profit), serving as Vice-Chair, board and committee member.

Gregg received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas, an MBA from the University of Western Ontario, as well as graduating from Executive programs at Queens, Columbia University, MIT and the Wharton School of Business (PA).

He is a certified Green Belt in LEAN/Six Sigma process improvement methods. He is also certified by the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Gregg lives in Edmonton with his wife of 27 years, Catherine, and their two children.  He stays active in a variety of sports and is a keen long-distance runner.
