Practicing what you preach and living by what you believe—both incredibly important values to maintain when running a business and interacting with family.  But what exactly do we mean by “right”?  What exactly do you mean by “right”?

Internalizing right principles first requires that these principles have been outlined and are known.  An individual may have a strict set of principles they adhere to without ever having vocalized it.  However, when it comes to succession planning, vocalizing these principles within the family and business is important so that each unit as a whole can internalize the principles.  This is how a true shared vision is built.  If you don’t stand for something, you may for for anything.  What are your non-negotiables?
